One time I arrived in the morning to care for a little two year old, and she was in her high chair with a pickle in her hand. Her dad said, “she asked for a pickle, so I guess that’s her breakfast.” I wasn’t so sure, as the little one seemed confused, so I asked her what she thought sounded yummy for breakfast, and I discovered it was actually a bagel that she asked for, haha, I’ll admit her pronunciation did sound a lot like “pickle” - her poor daddy tried!
