More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’m a mom of two grown kids, including one on the autism spectrum, and I’ve always had a deep sensitivity to the unique ways children grow and communicate. I’ve coached youth soccer, worked in children’s theater, and became certified to work with infants in Florida, where I spent close to a year in a baby room. These days, I work as a substitute with ChildCare Careers, supporting children from infancy to school age across many different settings. I bring patience, flexibility, and a real understanding that every child is different—and that’s something to celebrate.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Songs, puzzles, and spontaneous dance parties! I love exploring nature, sharing silly moments, and creating activities that support learning through play — from building fine motor skills with crafts to encouraging language development through music and storytelling.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Children learn so much just by watching us—how we treat others, handle emotions, and move through the day. To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, calm space with structure and support. When kids feel secure and encouraged, they grow into curious, confident, and kind little humans.
My experience with special needs children...
My youngest child is on the autism spectrum, so I bring personal insight, empathy, and lived experience to my work. Through my current role with ChildCare Careers, I’ve also had the opportunity to work with many children on the spectrum across a variety of centers, adapting to different needs with patience and care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments happened when I was just 15 or 16. My aunt and uncle were visiting from Ireland with their toddler son, who was famous for tantrums and wouldn’t settle when his mom left — and she had never left him with anyone else before. I stayed with him while they went out to dinner. Despite his crying and refusal to eat at first, I gently encouraged him to try his cheeseburger, and we started to build a little connection. When he got upset again realizing I wasn’t his mom and his burger was gone, I convinced him to get cozy with me and watch a movie. By the time his mom returned, he was peacefully asleep. This early experience showed me I had a natural gift for calming and connecting with children, even in challenging moments.

Babysitter Available in Sacramento, CA: Nadia H.
Hi! I’m a 15 year old sophomore in high school trying to find a job. I have been babysitting for 4 years now and i have 2 younger siblings so I understand the importance of providing a safe and fun environment for little ones. I have also worked with kids on the spectrum. I have only had the opportunity to babysit for family and family friends because it’s difficult finding someone who is comfortable with a sitter my age. I’ve had most experience with kids aged newborn to 12 years old and I also have experience with overnight babysitting jobs. I am also happy to help with cooking, light house keeping, and anything else you may need. Since I am in school, I am not available until later in the day on weekdays which I know may be inconvenient for most people. On the weekend I am available all day. Considering my availability, i’m best for date nights or overnight on the weekends.I am also comfortable with any pets of any size. If you’re in need of a sitter, i’d love to help out!
