Activities I enjoy doing with children...
• Themed Scavenger Hunts: Creating a list of items to find—whether it’s specific colors in a classroom or "nature items" on a playground—to encourage observation and movement.
• Obstacle Courses: Using pillows, painters' tape, or hula hoops to build a course that works on gross motor skills and following multi-step directions.
• Interactive Storytelling: Reading a book and having the kids act out the characters.
STEM & Educational Games
• Simple Science Experiments: Classic activities like "sink or float"
• Building Challenges: Using LEGOs, magnetic tiles, or even recycled cardboard boxes to see who can build the tallest tower or a bridge.
• Custom Bingo or Memory Games: Using printables or hand-drawn cards that feature animals, numbers, or sight words to make learning feel like a competition.
• Cooking & Baking: Simple, no-bake recipes or decorating treats allows kids to practice following instructions and enjoy a tangible (and tasty) reward.
• Music & Movement: "freeze Dance”

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I potty trained one of the children i nannied for that was on the spectrum. The parents thought it was close to impossible. The way the child lighted up with joy out of excitement from myself and the parents.
