More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been working with/around children practically my entire adult life. I've been a scout leader, a camp counsellor, and a children's museum employee.
I've been a teacher's assistant in both a 2's classroom and a 4's classroom. One was at a school that practised 'conscious discipline'- a more feelings based curriculum that focused on teaching kids self-regulation skills. The other school I worked at had a more academic focus.
I've been a nanny now for many years, working with several different families with different needs.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy helping to shape 'city' kids, making the most of all of the beautiful resources that Toronto has to offer. Whether that's taking the TTC out to check out cool outdoor art, visiting farmer's markets and fun playgrounds, museums or exploring the ravines.
My experience with special needs children...
The children's museum I worked at hosted disability-friendly nights to share resources/encourage families with young ones with disabilities to gather. I also volunteered at a local to me then elementary school where I spent a lot of time in their 'ID severe' classroom, helping out with children with medical needs such as feeding tubes and wheel chairs, as well as intellectual disabilities.
As a preschool TA I've had children with allergies, as well as additional care needs.
As a nanny, I've worked with kids who have autism, adhd, and allergies. I've managed medications, including epipens.
