My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids on the autism spectrum, learning disabilities, and non verbal. I know that patience and maintaining consistency is really important. I'm willing to learn and abide by the program in any family. Whatever is best and safe for the child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many! But I truly love watching kids learn something new and grasp it, then realize they got it!! Witnessing growth of any kind is beautiful and I love helping instill that confidence in kids. I am thankful to see that every day in my own children, at my previous nanny jobs, while working at Ventura Charter School, and often during portrait sessions, it's just the best!
