Hii, my name is krysandra lawson. I’m a student server at a nursing home called riderwood. I go to bowie state university and my major is nursing, I want to become a pediatric nurse and I believe I do have a good spirit to where children come to me or are comfortable with me. I have 7 siblings and 3 more on my dad side. I’ve helped look after a lot of kids while I was younger and also babysat my little sister. I’m very kind, trustworthy, patient and honest. I’m very respectful and hard working. I take my job very serious and can be available for help at any time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my proudest moments as a nanny was helping one of my kids with his math homework. We worked through the problems together, and I made sure he understood how to solve them instead of just giving him the answers. Once he felt comfortable, I gave him some space to finish the rest on his own. When he came back to me and I saw that he had gotten every single answer correct by himself, I was so proud! It reminded me how rewarding childcare can be because sometimes the best moments are seeing a child gain confidence and realize that they can do something on their own.
