More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have three years of professional experience working at a learning center, where I cared for and taught children across different ages and developmental stages. My day-to-day work included supervising children, supporting classroom routines, leading educational and creative activities, helping with social and emotional development, and making sure each child felt safe, engaged, and supported.
I also previously worked as a student aide in my former high school’s special education classroom. In that role, I worked closely with students with intellectual and physical disabilities and gained experience adapting activities, communication, and support to meet different individual needs.
I have also completed Florida’s 45-hour DCF child care training, which gave me additional education in child development, health and safety, appropriate practices, and caring for children in a professional setting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love helping kids have fun away from screens and discover activities they genuinely enjoy. Some of my favorites are board games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading, simple science or learning activities, and anything that lets them be creative, curious, and hands-on. I especially enjoy finding activities that match each child’s personality and interests.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Fostering a loving and safe environment for both children and parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience supporting children with a range of physical and developmental needs. I previously worked as a student aide in my former high school’s special education classroom, where I assisted students with intellectual and physical disabilities and learned to adapt activities, communication, and support based on individual needs.
During my three years at a learning center, I also worked with children with physical disabilities and children on the autism spectrum. I’m comfortable being patient, flexible, attentive to routines, and following a family’s established care strategies.
I am not a special education, behavioral, or medical specialist, so I’m always upfront about the limits of my training. I’m happy to learn a child’s specific needs and follow guidance from parents, teachers, therapists, or other professionals involved in their care.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my favorite memories are the little “I got it!” moments when something finally clicks for a child. I’ve loved planning fun things like movie nights, crafts, and field trips, but nothing beats watching a kid go from frustrated or unsure to suddenly proud of themselves because they learned something new. Those moments are a big part of why I’ve always enjoyed working with children.

Babysitter Available in Plant City, FL: Cathryn D.
Hey there! I have went back and forth as a daycare teacher and massage therapist. Which means I am CPR and first aid certified. I have two boys which go everywhere with me, 4 and 15 months. They’re both very kind with other kids. I’m very good with cleaning, laundry, and cooking (my dad was a chef so I’ve grown up in a house where I had to learn to cook good food with nutrients). My husband is in the military so I’m just trying to keep busy with my kids. I’m comfortable with diaper changes and potty training. Me bringing my two boys will be very helpful getting your kids the socialization they need without going to a daycare. I have a clean suv with extra seats if needed and a valid drivers license. I love doing crafts with kids of all ages (I have all the stuff already having two of my own).
