Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My first nanny experience was during my first semester of college. I cared for a 1 year old in my home. I watched her Thursday-Saturday overnight from 4 PM-4 AM. I also worked in a preschool that was attached to my high school. While learning of the developmental stages children go through, it was my responsibility to create engaging activities for the children, as well as supervise snack time. I worked at a Montessori preschool for a year, working with children from 18 months old to 6 years old. I moved to Gilbert, AZ in July to care for my 3 year old niece, but she has now moved to Utah.

I love taking kids to the park! It lets them get their energy out, while doing a fun activity with them.

My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with two autistic cousins. One is a couple of years younger than me, so I grew up around him and have always been aware of his sensitivities. The other cousin is the sweetest and most energetic 4 year old. She does not have many sensitivities like my other cousin so being with both of them has really shown me how different kids with special needs are.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was taking a sweet 1 year old to the park. I spun her a liiiiiittle bit too fast on the park merry go round. I loved watching her get off and try to walk to me. She loved it just as much and it became her favorite at the park!
