A little bit about me

As the oldest sibling, I have been a natural caretaker all my life. I began babysitting very young and nannying professionally about six years ago. I've been loving it ever since! I enjoy helping families meet their personal milestones while having fun along the way. My favorite activities are the ones that mesh art and science together but I usually cater to the child's special interests at that moment. I am familiar with full/part-time positions, crazy schedules, pool safety, multiple children, school/sport transportation, and nutrition. In my free time, you can find me finishing some college courses online or hanging with my fiancé outdoors. My hopes are to pursue a masters in speech pathology, so the time spent with my nanny kids is a great "learning" experience for me! Each child is unique and deserves to be treated as such. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

When I began my nanny career at nineteen, I knew this was something I’d be doing for a long time! So far I’ve helped out three families long-term. The children’s ages have ranged from newborn-7. I have volunteered in my church’s daycare for all age groups and also taught the minis at my dance studio for over 5 years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy baking/cooking, crafts, sports, educational activities, swimming, cuddling, going to the playground, visiting the library, spending time at the nature center, reading, singing.. the list goes on and on!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’d say is being patient! Kids have bad days too and are deserving of our unconditional love. I also believe being silly and lighthearted gets us through the day. I take advantage of any opportunity to share a laugh with my kiddos.

My experience with special needs children...

These children remain very close to my heart. I have some experience with kids on the autism spectrum, anxiety, and ADHD. I am familiar with allergy protocols and administering medication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There are too many to count. I enjoy watching them meet milestones. I love when kids are excited to show-off their newly learned skills. Whether it’s rolling over for the first time or finally nailing a dance move, I’ll be cheering them on!!
