More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a strong background in caring for children across various settings. As a daycare teacher, I cared for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a structured environment, creating engaging activities to support their development while ensuring their safety, hygiene, and emotional well-being. During high school, I volunteered with a foster care program, where I mentored children, helped with homework and daily routines, and built meaningful relationships with kids from diverse backgrounds. Currently, I work as a patient companion in the pediatric unit of a hospital, providing one-on-one support to hospitalized children, offering comfort through conversation and play, and collaborating with nurses and families to ensure compassionate care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in creative, fun, and developmentally supportive activities. I love using sensory play, animated story time, arts and crafts, music, and movement games to spark imagination and build motor skills. I also incorporate mindful breathing, quiet time, and interactive learning games to help children relax and feel at ease. One-on-one conversations are especially important to me, and when caring for children in medical settings, I find bedside activities like games, coloring, or simply talking to be powerful tools for comfort and connection
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part about being a nanny is being a safe, supportive presence in a child’s life—someone they can count on, trust, and feel seen by. I believe every child deserves to feel heard, valued, and celebrated, no matter their age. My goal is to be the kind of person who helps children feel strong enough to face the world, even on their hardest days. Whether it’s through listening to their stories, celebrating their milestones, or simply showing up with kindness and patience, I want to be the reason a child feels like they matter.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time as a daycare teacher, I had the opportunity to work closely with a child with special needs, which gave me valuable experience in providing individualized care and support. I adapted daily routines and learning activities to meet their unique developmental and sensory needs, using visual aids, hands-on tasks, and one-on-one guidance to help them engage and thrive in the classroom. I collaborated with parents and staff to ensure consistency and communicate progress, while also promoting inclusion and a positive social environment among peers. This experience deepened my understanding of patience, flexibility, and the importance of creating a safe, supportive space where every child feels valued and capable.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a caregiver was organizing small celebrations for each child’s birthday and accomplishments—no matter how big or small. I loved seeing their faces light up when we had a mini party just for them, whether it was for learning to tie their shoes or finishing a book on their own. I even helped come up with little “fun-raisers” like pajama days or craft parties to make everyday moments feel special. Creating those joyful, personalized experiences reminded me how powerful it is to make every child feel seen, proud, and celebrated.
