Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in fun and meaningful activities that support their growth and creativity. Some of my favorite things to do include reading storybooks, doing arts and crafts, playing educational and sensory games, and spending time outdoors at the park or on walks. I also love listening to music, singing songs, baking simple treats, and encouraging imaginative play like building forts or creating stories together. Whether it’s helping with homework, exploring new ideas, or having calm time with drawing or reading, I always aim to make each activity enjoyable, supportive, and suited to the child’s personality and needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is building trust and connection. It’s not just about supervising children — it’s about creating a safe, nurturing space where they feel seen, supported, and understood. Every child is different, so being patient, consistent, and truly present helps them feel secure and confident to grow. The bond you build with a child and their family is what makes the work meaningful.
My experience with special needs children...
I provided dedicated care for a 6-year-old boy on the autism spectrum for approximately two years, creating a calm, structured, and supportive environment tailored to his individual needs. My responsibilities included assisting with daily routines such as meals, hygiene, and bedtime while maintaining consistency and predictability to help reduce sensory overload and anxiety. I incorporated sensory-friendly activities, such as tactile play, music, and gentle movement exercises, to help him regulate emotions and stay engaged.
I also encouraged social and communication development through simple conversation, visual cues, and positive reinforcement techniques. During challenging moments, I practiced patience and de-escalation strategies to ensure he always felt safe and understood. Working closely with his parents, I followed their preferred approaches and communicated progress regularly, allowing us to stay consistent in supporting his developmental goals.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny was with the 6-year-old boy I cared for on the autism spectrum. We had been working for weeks on helping him feel comfortable expressing himself verbally, and one afternoon, he suddenly ran up to me and said a full sentence on his own — smiling proudly. It was such a small thing to anyone else, but to us, it felt huge. Moments like that remind me why I love caregiving — seeing a child’s confidence grow and knowing that my patience, consistency, and care helped make it possible.

Hi! I’m 19, almost 20, and I’ve always loved working with children. I was the designated babysitter in my family growing up, and kids naturally connect with me. I also worked at a very successful in-home daycare, where I gained hands-on experience caring for children in a fun and safe environment. I’m currently a college student-athlete pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, which has helped me better understand child development and communication. I’m responsible, energetic, and truly enjoy helping kids learn and feel comfortable.
