The most important part about being a nanny is to remember to adhere to all guidelines set by parents. Keep open communication to prevent misunderstanding. In doing so you keep kids safe and happy. Consistently amongst adults helps raise respectful and kind children.

I have worked with special needs children and adults for over 10 years. I am registered with two agencies and I continue to provide services when I can. I have cared for children on various levels of the spectrum. I’ve encouraged children and adults in reaching goals in many variations of developmental disabilities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many memories with my nanny families but one in particular really stands out. I was caring for a 3 1/2 year old at the time. We spent a large part of the summer at the pool. He had stopped using any floating devices after a few weeks of swimming. The huge smile of accomplishment made me so happy. It was a great moment for both of us.
