A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Lainey!
I am the oldest of four, my younger brother is currently 6 years old. I have experience helping care for my siblings as well as nannying for other families. I love working with children and I started out my journey babysitting my siblings and then, about 6 years ago, I ventured out into babysitting for family friends. I ended up loving it and have continued to nanny and babysit up until present.
As well as being a nanny, I am an artist. I am currently working part-time at an elementary school as an art teacher. I have loved being able to bring out creativity in the kiddos, and watch them grow. As the school year comes to an end, I am looking to transition to Florida and hope to work alongside a family in the care of their little one!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Last summer, I was out in Destin, FL working at a nature school. We would take kiddos on day adventures to the different parks and teach them different skills, such as bushcraft and fishing, and play different games. While I was there I worked part-time in children’s ministry as the assistant to the children’s pastor.
This year, I have been working at a school part-time as an art teacher, teaching 5-13 year olds. And at the same school I was a teachers aide as well and helped in the classroom with some of the special needs kiddos at the school. And just helping the lead teacher where needed.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts with kiddos, being an artist myself, I like to bring out their creativity. As well as art, I like to bake with them and bring them into the process of what we are making, such as making bread. The dough is a blast to work with.
Outdoor adventures are something I enjoy as well. Whether that is going to the park, zoo, walking around the neighborhood, or playing in the backyard, I enjoy getting the opportunity for some sunshine and fresh air.
