I took my two boys I cared for, to an apple tree in their neighborhood that they’ve seen everyday of their lives, but could never touch it. (I got permission from the owner.) We were able to pick apples and make an apple pie! They’ve never picked apples before, never climbed a tree before, never baked anything before; and they were over-the-moon filled with excitement and gratitude the entire time! They still ask their mom to take them.
