I'm a camp counselor at an all-girls sleepaway camp in North Carolina, babysit regularly, served as a peer mentor to middle schoolers/incoming high school freshmen, and have worked as a nanny for two sweet boys on Martha's Vineyard last summer!

I love arts and crafts, singing/playing instruments, having dance parties, going to the beach (my certification is up, but I was a lifeguard), going on nature escapades, and playing with dogs!
My experience with special needs children...
Last summer I nannied a 10-year-old boy with autism and then had a 12-year-old girl with autism in my cabin the following month. These experiences taught me a lot about patience, grace, and flexibility, and I actually ended up writing in my college essay about how my experiences with these kids taught me how to be a compassionate leader, which I consider my strongest trait.
