A little bit about me

Hi there! My name is Laquin (funky spelling, it’s pronounced Laykin) and it is so nice to meet you! I have been working with kids ever since I was in middle school, starting with my church’s infant nursery. Over the years, I have been a full time, on call babysitter for family friends, a full time employee nanny, and mother’s helper. I also spent a summer working at a full time camp, spending my every waking moment with my campers, guiding them in activities, getting them fed and ready for the day in a timely manner, and getting them ready for bed every night. I absolutely adore children and have always had a heart for kids. It would be such a pleasure to get to know you and your child(en)! I am from Colorado but am specifically in search of a Live-In Nanny position, and would love to be given the privilege of joining your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was the lead babysitter of several of my church’s life groups from ages 10 to 12, where I was in charge of up to twelve kids at once, and I also volunteered with Mothers of Preschoolers twice a week where I was in charge of seven children weekly. I occasionally babysat for several family friends from ages 12 to 16, before I left to work at a summer camp in Ohio where I was for about eight weeks, leading a different cabin weekly with my co-counselor. When I got home, I began part time nannying for a couple families, who I have been with until now, at almost 20!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, doing puzzles, going on walks, and bike rides. I love taking trips to go swimming, the library, the park, and anywhere else the kids could have fun!

My experience with special needs children...

Recently, I was the nanny for a family with a son who has Autism and behavioral issues, as well as another family with a son who has Type One Diabetes.
