More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was an assistant teacher for infants 3-12 months age for 6 months and then for another 6 months I was a lead teacher for children 12-24 months. I became a lead teacher for another class for children of ages 12-24 for a year then 24-36 months.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have experience in scheduled activities for children such as outdoor play, indoor play, sensory play, and active learning.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Safety, the kids have to be safe at all times. While playing outside, sleeping, eating, and using the potty, I am always surpervising the children. Not just supervising, engaging, creating a bond, asking questions, being attentive, focusing on details. Providing specific care to each childs needs is the most important to me and learning their style of learning and playing and communication is very important to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I had a few children in my classroom that had special needs I am very attentive and caring for those with special needs and it is very important to me to make sure they are happy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was 17 and took my first job as a caretaker for two boys ages 3 and 5. I was only there for a couple hours but I made paper airplanes with them for arts and crafts, built a racetrack for their toy cars for their gross motor skills, and we learned about airplanes for science and how they fly. I never thought that nannying or caretaking would be my career path because I loved makeup so much but I realized I have so much love to give children.
