A little bit about me

Hello :) As the oldest sibling, I have always had a nurturing side to me. I am an auntie to several little children and hope to have a mini me one day, but as of right now, I am focused on finishing my doctoral program, so that will have to be later! I enjoy working and being around children as they are the most honest, caring, and make you realize that the small things matter, as well as keeping you grounded. I have worked in childcare, pre-school, and a program that is aimed at exercise through play at multiple different schools in the PNW area. I can communicate not only well with kids, but also overcommunicate with the guardian, as that is something I do daily with my professors. I have great patience as well as some strategies to help regulate emotions for older and younger kids. Showing empathy for others as well as observing surroundings is something I find very important, as kids mimic what they see, and safety is the utmost priority.
