A little bit about me

Hello! I’m Laryssa, a graduate student in Marriage and Family Counseling who recently moved to Lynchburg.
I have a big heart for children and although I don’t have formal nanny experience, I’ve spent years caring for little ones in my family. I'm dependable, nurturing, and understand the importance of giving each child the unique attention they need to thrive.

I'm also happy to help with light cooking and keeping things tidy around the home. I see myself as a supportive extra set of hands — someone you can count on to create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for your child.

I'd love the opportunity to support your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a elementary tutor from Jan 2025-June 2025 before moving to Lynchburg. I did volunteer as an assistant teacher for a nonprofit organization (IFSI-USA) the summer of 2016

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing, getting outdoors, and exploring new things with kids — whether that’s going to the park, visiting a museum, dancing around the living room, singing songs, or working through puzzles together. I believe play is one of the most powerful ways children grow and connect.
If you're open to it, I’m also happy to help coordinate playdates to support your child’s social development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is genuinely caring for the kids — showing up with love, patience, and consistency. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing space where they feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s nothing better than seeing children fully enjoying the moment — their laughter, smiles, and excitement say it all. And when they ask to do it all over again, I know they truly had a great time.
