A little bit about me

Hello!

As the first of nine children, caring for others has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. Professionally, I have more than five years of experience as a nanny and household assistant, supporting children from infancy through the teenage years.

My experience includes childcare, household management, scheduling, meal preparation, transportation, organization, and helping busy families maintain a smooth and well run home. I am compassionate, dependable, adaptable, and genuinely enjoy creating positive experiences for children.

As a fitness professional and creative thinker, I love incorporating movement, art, dance, outdoor activities, healthy habits, and hands on learning into everyday routines. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive while giving parents peace of mind.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My experience working with children began at my local Boys & Girls Club, where I worked for two years supporting children through activities, supervision, and mentorship. Since then, I have worked with multiple families as a nanny and household assistant, caring for children ranging from infancy through the teenage years.

In addition to private childcare, much of my professional background has been in fitness, movement, and child development. I have worked with children through ballet, tumbling, Pilates, mobility, and youth movement programs, helping them build confidence, coordination, healthy habits, and a positive relationship with movement.

As the first of nine children, caregiving has always been a natural part of my life. I am comfortable working with infants, toddlers, school age children, and teenagers, and I pride myself on creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities I enjoy doing with children are painting, DIY projects, planting flowers, going to the library, museums, swimming, and anything that includes having fun while also allowing them to develop independently, self discovery, confidence, interpersonal skills and discipline.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating an empowering environment for the child to learn and grow.

My experience with special needs children...

Yes. I have experience working with children with special needs, including a young boy on the autism spectrum who was nonverbal when I began caring for him. My role included supporting his daily routines, encouraging communication, facilitating movement and play based activities, and creating a structured, nurturing environment that helped him feel safe and engaged.

Over time, I had the privilege of watching him make significant developmental progress, including beginning to communicate verbally. This experience taught me the importance of patience, consistency, adaptability, and meeting each child where they are. I am committed to creating a supportive environment that helps every child feel understood, valued, and capable of success.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny milestone was working with a nonverbal three year old on the autism spectrum and witnessing him begin to communicate with me verbally. After months of building trust, consistency, and connection, hearing him use words instead of relying solely on sign language was an incredibly rewarding moment. Watching a child gain confidence in their ability to communicate and express themselves is something I will never forget.

Growing up with a younger brother gave me hands-on experience caring for kids from an early age. I regularly helped look after him, whether that meant preparing quick meals, keeping him entertained, or making sure he stayed safe and on schedule. Managing those daily routines taught me how to be patient, attentive, and responsible with children, so I feel completely comfortable taking care of kids of all ages.
