Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over 20 yrs. experience providing care for children ages newborn to 11 years old including special needs. The best part for me is learning that children are truly sponges. I have had the extreme pleasure of teaching 6 children how to read by the age of 3 read using repetition and memorization. In my experience when learning is combined with art, music, games and fun the possibilities are endless.

I have 4 years experience working with a child diagnosed with ASD at 2 years old. I completed the 40 hr. RBT course April 2021
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching the special needs toddler to cook his favorite meal which was grilled cheese and salad. He was 6 years old. I made a video to show his parents. It was absolutely adorable when he said " I love being a chef". It is my favorite moment because he was able to make the connection to being a chef.

So from helping care for them I was able to get firsthand knowledge on how to be the best sitter/nanny. Around 19 I realized although I enjoy all ages, I love babies. So I decided to shift from being a sitter to an actual nanny, having a more long-term position with families.
