I do a lot of sensory activities like putting sand in a ben and letting their feet touch the sand. I also love to do home made cards for mom and dad by using non toxic paint or markers to outline their hands and/or feet. I teach them a little bit of ASL like all done, more, please and thank you. I also sing the color song to them in Spanish/ English and ASL.

When I teach children ASL or how to say mama it takes time. No child gets it right away. But I love it when they do it randomly and accurately. For example when I worked at LBA I was feeding a child and asked if they were all done ( using ASL) and the signed back more for the first time with no help.Telling me they wanted more food. I love moments like this.
