Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am currently a freshman at Southern Adventist University, where I am pursuing a degree in elementary education. I have a deep passion for working with children and have extensive experience over the years. I began babysitting at the age of 13 and have had the pleasure of working at summer camp for the past two summers. I enjoy arts and crafts, music, and spending time with loved ones. Some of my experience includes babysitting children ranging from 1 to 7 years old and working with youth between the ages of 7 and 17 at camp. In high school, I took on various leadership roles, which have shaped my approach to childcare and my commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive environment. As a Christian who loves Jesus, I strive to live out my values in all that I do. Though I have included all of my availability, I am looking for 6-10 hours per week. More About Me

As I previously stated I have been babysitting for different families since I was 13. I have cared for families with 1 to 3 kids. I have also worked at summer camp for the past two summers where I was expected to be a energetic mentor to kids ranging in age from 7 to 17. I helped them in activities, lead them in song, and made positive connections and friendships with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy making arts and crafts, playing outside (playsets sports etc.) I enjoy playing bored games or making up games like races or tag.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids have fun/enjoy themselves and feel loved is huge. It is also important to make a positive connection with the kids and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. with you.

My experience with special needs children...

I only have special need expierience with adults. At my summer camp we have blind camp where blind and autistic adults come to camp and we help mentor them. We provide meals, we lead them around camp, and we help them do all activities. I have helped them do many crafts as well as climbing the rockwall and going down the zipline.
