A little bit about me

Hi! I’m an experienced nanny who has worked both locally and internationally, including as a live-in nanny for the Dutch Ambassador’s family. I’ve cared for children of all ages, traveled with families, and I’m very comfortable adapting to flexible schedules. I’ve also worked with younger kids in after-school programs and day classes, helping with homework, activities, and daily routines. In addition to childcare, I cook well-balanced meals, keep living spaces tidy, and handle household chores with ease. I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely love creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment for every child I care for.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy keeping children engaged through a mix of creative, active, and educational activities. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, outdoor play, reading together, and fun learning games that support their development. I also love baking simple treats with kids, doing imaginative play, and helping with homework or structured learning when needed. Whether we’re exploring outside, building something creative, or practicing new skills, I always aim to make our time together fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and trusting environment where children feel supported, understood, and cared for. Safety comes first, but trust is what allows kids to grow, explore, and be themselves around you. A great nanny also builds strong communication with the parents, remains patient and consistent, and understands each child’s unique needs so they can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Working as a live-in nanny for the Dutch Ambassador’s family was a life-changing experience that helped shape me into the adaptable, confident, and responsible person I am today. Living abroad taught me how to navigate new cultures, manage high expectations, and stay calm in unfamiliar situations. Their kindness and trust in me helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I learned the value of independence, communication, and grace under pressure.

Tania P. - Seeking Work in St. Augustine

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in St. Augustine, FL: Tania P.

Hello, my name is Tania Perea. I recently relocated from California to Florida with my family. I have a wonderful 5 year old daughter who inspires my love for working with children.
I have experience working in a preschool environment, where I enjoyed helping create a safe, fun, and supportive space for young learners. While my daughter attended a cooperative preschool, I served as the President of the Parent Board. In that role, I coordinated events, worked closely with teachers and families, organized meetings, and helped strengthen the school community. The experience allowed me to develop strong leadership, communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
I am passionate about working with children and families and enjoy creating positive, welcoming environments where children can learn and grow. I am dependable, compassionate, organized, and eager to continue making a meaningful impact in my community while growing professionally.
