More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have two years of experience working with children and families within social services. I helped them navigate and cope through difficult situations, while always prioritizing safety and well-being of the children involved. I maintained therapeutic relationships with children, their foster parents, and biological parents and helped facilitate healthy communication.
I also have many volunteer hours working with special needs children at summer camps and caring for infants and toddlers at a nursery for students’ children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love sensory activities—doing different things with uncooked pastas and cotton balls, etc. Small crafts such as painting and 3D puzzles. Playing make-believe and using our imaginations. I love playing outside, talking about everything we can observe. I love reading books, singing songs, dancing, and making meals or snacks they can help prepare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is being as fully present as possible with that child/children everyday. Taking the time to see them and hear them, to adequately meet their needs and provide them a safe environment to thrive. I believe children should be treated with respect and love, and in turn they learn how to respect and love others and the world around them.
I believe being a nanny is a huge blessing but also a great responsibility. In spending time with children, I want to be a positive influence for them and an overall support for their family.

My experience with special needs children...
I do not have any official credentials or certifications but have significant experience working with children and teens who experience mental health crises. I also have experience volunteering at special needs day camps working with children with varying special needs, helping provide a safe and fun environment for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Kids never fail to crack me up and that is definitely one of my favorite parts of this job. One time I told one of my little boys that he smelled good and he replied, “Thanks! I have bones in my body!!!”
