I love getting on the little ones level. Playing simple songs, coloring, sensory activities, learning colors/shapes/new words. Making adorable crafts for mom/dad/grandparents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is to provide a posative, safe, loving, encouraging environment for baby while parents aren't able to be present. All we want is for our children to be loved 247 so providing that safe place is key to being an amazing nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
One of the family friends children I watch from time to time has autism. For me what has worked with us is to have a routine. That way they know what is next in our day and also I do put some options in there to give them some responsibility of a choice.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think it is to hard to pick one so I will say my favorite nanny "moments" are when I've been working to teach them something and they finally do it on there own. That look of amazement on there face they when they achieve a new skill is absolutely priceless. My favorite!
