To me, being a nanny is so much more than just watching children—it’s about building trust, forming real connections, and creating a safe space where kids feel seen, heard, and valued.
What matters most to me is supporting the whole child—not just physically, but emotionally and socially as well. With my background as a teacher and school counselor, I know that every child is unique. I take the time to understand each child’s personality, interests, and needs so I can meet them where they are and help them grow in a way that feels natural and empowering.
I believe that kids thrive in environments where they feel respected and understood, and I make it a priority to lead with patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement. Whether we’re navigating a tough moment, learning something new, or simply playing and laughing together, I’m intentional about showing up with kindness, consistency, and presence.
I also value being a supportive partner to parents with open communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most cherished memories as a nanny happened with a little boy I cared for over the summer. He was five years old—curious, full of energy, and just starting to sound out words. Every afternoon, we had our "reading picnic" on a blanket in the backyard, where we’d bring a stack of books, snacks, and a big imagination.
One day, he picked up a book we had read many times and surprised me by reading it—cover to cover—all by himself. He looked up at me with wide eyes and said, “I didn’t even know I could read!” I’ll never forget the joy on his face or the pride in his voice. We both clapped and high-fived, and he couldn’t wait to call his mom to share the news.
It was such a simple moment, but to me, it captured everything I love about working with children: watching them grow, helping them believe in themselves, and being there to celebrate their victories—big or small. That moment reminded me how powerful it is just to show up, encourage, and listen.
