A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Layla Valteau and I’ve been a nanny for about 3 and a half years now. I’ve worked with infants of only 4 months old , to full fledged teenagers of 15. I got into this work because I grew up with a wide age range of siblings and cousins, I’ve had my fair share of child care as a child and I always valued the experience and my time with them. I am majoring in Psychology at the University of New Orleans which I believe has given me a different level of knowledge on the human mind which has translated into patience and the ability to deescalate a situation in the best way if need be. I’ve worked with a child with severe ADD and have learned how to care and understand their needs. I have come to love this work of mine, the different families, households, and children. It always feels great to give a parent time off and peace of mind that their child will be in the best of hands, while making my kids as happy as can be.
