More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been surrounded by early childhood education since 2000, when I began helping at my mother’s licensed home daycare. Over the years, I supported in many roles—from assisting with infant care and toddler routines to helping plan age-appropriate learning activities, meal prep, and daily structure. This early exposure gave me a solid foundation in child development, patience, and consistency.

For the past three years, I’ve worked as a First Grade Teacher, leading my own classroom and creating engaging, structured environments that support both academic and emotional growth. I’ve had the privilege of working closely with children and their families, ensuring that each child feels seen, safe, and supported as they grow in confidence and independence. My teaching experience has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, manage multiple needs at once, and foster a nurturing space where children can thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, meaningful moments with children that spark their creativity, curiosity, and confidence. Some of my favorite activities include:
Arts & Crafts – DIY projects to themed crafts and paint.
Outdoor Play – Whether it’s drawing with sidewalk chalk, playing tag, or classic games like Red Light, Green Light or Duck, Duck, Goose.
Board Games & Group Games
Educational, Active Brain Breaks
Reading & Storytime

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Children thrive when they feel secure, and as a nanny, I have the unique opportunity to become a consistent, caring presence in their lives—someone they can rely on, learn from, and feel loved by.

It’s not just about supervision or completing a to-do list; it’s about being intentional in every interaction—listening, guiding, encouraging, and showing up with patience and joy. It’s also about building a strong partnership with the family, respecting their values, and working together to support the child’s growth emotionally, socially, and developmentally.

Whether I’m helping with a toddler’s first steps, supporting a school-aged child through tough emotions, or just laughing during a game of pretend, I see it all as meaningful. Being a nanny is a big responsibility—and a big honor.

My experience with special needs children...

As a Special Education Teacher for elementary-aged students, I’ve gained valuable experience in creating inclusive and accessible learning environments. I specialized in differentiating instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner—modifying lessons, incorporating visual supports and manipulatives, and using alternative teaching strategies to support both academic and emotional development.

In addition to my classroom role, I have four years of hands-on experience working with teens with various disabilities, including autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis (MS), and physical and learning disabilities. I supported these individuals holistically—beyond the classroom—by helping meet everyday needs and improving quality of life. This included providing access to essentials such as groceries, shoes, adaptive tools, and personalized care resources.
