Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love letting the kids come up with their own games, but some of my favorites are board games, dance games, hide and seek, and just playing with their toys such as Legos.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is making sure that the kids are not only safe, but happy. My goal is to make a positive impact on them throughout my time with them.

My experience with special needs children...

I volunteered with a special needs class in fifth and sixth grade, which gave me the opportunity to work with my last family. One of their kids had non-verbal autism. I did things that I would do with other kids such as feeding him, watching movies, and playing games. There are many things I learned to do to accommodate his needs such as helping use the bathroom, be patient as he tried to express his own needs, and learning to keep a closer eye on him than the other kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with the kids is when we played Pie Face with each other. I had never played before and had no idea it would be such a mess! We had whipped cream in our hair and it went all of over the table and floor. The kids helped me clean up though so it was worth it.
