More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While in middle school I worked with preschoolers at my after school program and later on in high school I did volunteer work with children at a different school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy being a big kid so whether it be an arts and crafts kind of project, scootering down the street or going to the park to play a game of kickball, there’s nothing better than being able to tap into your inner child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The impact you have on a child can shape the rest of their life. I believe that every child grows to become their own person and who that person becomes is determined by their environment and obstacles they may face. Another key factor are the adults in this child’s life who can help guide them through their obstacles and be able to talk to them in a way that makes them question everything in order to come to their own solutions. See children are smarter than we make them out to be and they are more than capable of making the correct decision for themselves, we as adults just need to give them the proper tools, motivation and sense of direction to get them on their own path.
My experience with special needs children...
Honestly I have no experience with taking care of children with special needs, what I do know is most people that do this aren’t as patient as they should be . These children are still children and they deserve to have fun in the ways they can, whether it be a board game or reading a fascinating fictional novel for kids. They just need extra attention and a gentler touch which I feel capable of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I use to take my nieces and nephews out whenever I could, we once had a picnic in Central Park and played tag, hide and seek and took turns on the tire swing. While having the time of our lives it started to pour and we all ran to the nearest train station. Ended up getting soaking wet and yet we all couldn’t help but laugh and play in the rain. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and life can get messy but you can always turn it around and find the fun in it all.

I am 24 years old and a recent journalism graduate from Cal State Northridge. Along with my Bachelor's degree in Journalism, I also earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from El Camino Community College. I have always found joy in working with children and spending time with them. I’m trustworthy, love children, and my experience can attest to that. I'm happy to provide letters of recommendation from families I've worked with over the past few years. Growing up, my siblings and I were close in age and all worked together to care for and help each other. This helped us learn early on the responsibilities of care, such as making meals and looking after one another. This, in turn, has taught me a lot about a child's basic needs and essential care. I am also fully vaccinated, including the COVID-19 booster shot.
