A little bit about me

I started as a babysitter for many neighbors at age 11 yrs old. I also babysat for my 7 nieces and nephews whenever I was needed. I was a nanny to two Doctor families in Anderson, SC when my mother needed me to fill in for her. Previously worked 7 years, fulltime, as a non-live in nanny, in care of a special needs person with Huntington's Disease. Since that time I have been doing Independent Contract Wholesaling for myself from home online. I prefer and need a steady income, so I'm looking for fulltime work doing what I love most in caring for children. I also love animals, so caring for pets is an added plus for me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Walks in the park, going to the zoo. Playing ball, and other light sports. Reading children's books, school homework studies. Board games, hide and seek, educational games, ect. Creative crafts, drawing, coloring, water color painting, building kits, puzzles, ect. Helping to learn reading, writing, and math skills. Anything that is a safe, positive experiences that the child enjoys, and the parents approve of.

The most important part about being a nanny...

for me is all about sharing God's love for all his children and animals through my actions of sincerity and care to everyone that he puts in my life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children and adults with special needs care involving many different disabilities such as Autism; Huntington's disease; neurological and muscular disorders; speech and motor skill disorders, memory loss, depression, bipolarism, and stroke.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many fun experiences to remember, so it is hard to pick just one. I love to see the joy on a child's face when they experience something new and fascinating to them, like for example the time I surprised two of my little nephews. I took them to the local Anderson Airport strip to see the two engine planes parked on the runway strip. I had a friend who was a pilot there who took me flying once. When lifting my little nephews up to look into the cockpits to see where the pilots fly the planes from thrilled those two boys immensely! They both still remember that day.
