A little bit about me

I have taken care of little ones since a teenager, in fact I helped raise my little lovely cousin Alice with my aunt —she is now about 10—till I left my country; which I believe made my motherly personality and fed my fondness and desire to nurture these little blessed beings. I understand the need of parents for a nurturing and trustworthy person to look after their beloved children and love to explore their imaginative creativity: play, read, help with homework and create stories. I am very willing to help maintaining the house tidy and prepare healthy and nutritious meals —I will make sure they will eat their vegetables— and am comfortable with cameras in the house. Lastly, I can provide reference from my past job with an Irish/Polish family of two little boys (my beloved Alex and Roman age 4 and 5).
I speak fluent English and Portuguese; at present take Linguistics and Italian classes (and will soon begin French ) at University by distance. I hope to hear from you soon!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since very young age I have cared for children although not as a job, I was surrounded by little cousins since my family is quite large, and Was always trusted to care for them by myself even as a teenager, have volunteered for reading stories to special needs children at school and worked with a polish family watching their two lovely boys, Roman and Alex for a period of time until I moved cities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

My joy is to explore their creativity. One thing that always works with children of all personalities is to set up a scene, as if a play, and ask them to help me create a story and so imagine we are living that story. I love it as well as them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to create a bond with children, nurturing them and keeping them safe and healthy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have no experience with special needs children other than volunteering reading for them at school. I would be easterly willing to have the opportunity to learn how to care for and nurture these special lovely treasures. By reading for them I discovered how curious and loving they are.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when little Alex kissed me on the cheeks and said how much he loved me, I was not expecting that and he came and did it so randomly it warms my heart every time I think of it, he was only five years old at the time. I felt how special it is to ones heart to nurture and be nurtured in return by these little ones.
