A little bit about me

My family & I recently moved to the area in May 2024 from Charleston, SC. I have been a stay at home mom since the move watching another child who is 21 months old.

Over the last 5 years I’ve gained experience as a nanny working with & managing groups of children 0-5 years old. It’s worth mentioning somewhere along the way I had 2 daughters of my own. One 2.5 years old and the other 1.5 years old. As of July 2025.

When I watch children I do my best to keep them productively and healthily engaged in play, I aim to help them feel comfortable & content in my care as well as the parents. Some things I’d like to share with you would include, not encouraging screen time - 30 minutes max per day. I encourage lots of playing outside rain or shine & learning through play. I am reliable, professional, productive, trustworthy, & experienced. CPR & first aid certified, & genuinely delighted to watch your little one/s.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Co-ran a summer season, in home daycare of 5-6 kids age ranging from 1-6 years old with my mother when I was ages 15-17. After working as a daycare teacher I went on to take more jobs as a nanny over the years, my love for this work grew and I became a full time nanny in 2021!

Around February of 2022 I started a nanny share with 3 toddlers ages ranging from 2 and 3. Along with a 7 month old girl. I was the nanny for this nanny share for about half a year until the toddlers started preschool. I watched the 7 month until she was 2 years old!

During my pregnancy me and my mother worked alongside at a nanny share sharing responsibilities. It was a full house! ( 8 children) And we did this up until I had my baby girl in January 2023.

I decided to go part time for a few months after I had my first baby, then back to full time with a 2 month old, a 2 year old and my 8 month old daughter at the time. I continued to be a stay at home mom after the move, and now I’m looking for work again

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Hands on arts and crafts to engage their motor skills. Often playing outside. Extremely minimal to no tv time. Age appropriate music, story time, painting, and making seasonal crafts. I enjoy teaching developmental skills for babies. There are many things to do with children to make their life’s feel more fun and magical and help them learn and grow whilst doing so! We can always get creative with what we do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The connection between the caretaker and child.

Being a nanny is about the growth of the child, making sure the child is connecting with you and is content with you as their nanny. To prioritize their safety at all times and to guarantee both the parents and children are satisfied with the care they receive. Taking care of a child and to support them and fulfill needs is a vital factor in their development. I aim to be great teacher, a great caregiver, mother, and a even better role model.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for 4 short term. ( few months ) They we’re all temporary jobs from the starting time. They all deserve the same love and support! I don’t treat them differently than a child without special needs. I’m extremely patient and understanding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love quality time with children, there’s many good memories and too many wonderful children to choose a favorite memory!

A good memory I have is when two young toddlers I once watched in my nanny share started holding hands and dancing at the end of a movie to the theme song together, just slowing spinning around together enjoying each others company and it was absolutely adorable!

Another memory would be another toddler I cared for had decided to empty a entire role of toilet paper into my toilet when he went to use the potty. It toppled over and out of the toilet onto the floor, I made sure to get a photo lol.

One more fond memory would be the field day I hosted for the children back when I was pregnant & working alongside with my mother at her nanny share. We had lots of age friendly games like jumping sack race and other activities for the toddlers to enjoy outside fun in the sun.
