The most important part about being a nanny to me is ensuring a safe environment for the kids as well as working towards development in so many different areas. I think it's very important to build a nurturing and trusting relationship with them, and with that provide them emotional support, learning and growth opportunities, as well as clear communication with the kids and family. I value the aspect of being very reliable and patient which I think are aspects that are essential for being a nanny.

I have been working in the infant room working with babies from 3 months to 16 months, and am very good with babies but would love to experience working with kids a little older too. I want to switch from a center to nannying to be able to focus on just a few kids and build a stronger bond with them than I'd be able to in a center enviorment. I am currently studying early childhood education at Minneapolis College (and passing). My hours will have to work around college, although most of it is online, I have one class at 4:30 p.m Tuesday's and Thursday's. I have worked with kids with behavioral issues but have yet worked with kids with special needs. I also have 2 dogs and have worked at a doggy daycare, so I'm more than comftorable being in a home with dogs. I can't wait to meet and provide for your family!
