Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have volunteered with newborns in the hospital where we made and donated knitted beanies, blankets, socks, etc.. I have worked with food banks providing food, small toys and quality time with kids anywhere from 2-17 years of age while their parents/guardians were able to sit down and enjoy a little me time. I have been babysitting my family members since I was around age 12, and I have also part time nannied for 2 different families.

I love doing arts and crafts and learning type games as well as going for walks if the weather permits and allowing the children to soak up the sun or going to the park.

I have not directly worked with special needs children, but I am willing to learn how to accomodate them at best. I have family members who have worked with them and they have shared tips with me that help them to live happy and comfortably lives as we would expect for any other child.
