I have experience as a preschool teacher, i’m currently pursuing a degree in art education, I have instructed STEM events for local youth, and spent many years babysitting.

I really love to embrace the creativity in a child’s mind, especially in activities and play. I particularly enjoy doing arts and crafts, gardening and teaching them about the earth, playing silly make-believe games, and showing them the fun in learning new things.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is providing a safe space for all children when their parents taking care of responsibilities. It is my absolute priority to ensure the safety of every child under my supervision. Another important part is respecting every family, the same way I would want to be respected. The arts and crafts is simply a plus to the job.

My experience with special needs children...

I have many experiences with special needs children but I primarily have experience working alongside autistic children, each with different levels of needs. I also have experience since I was a teenager babysitting my autistic family member. This has given me a much better understanding of how to properly meet the needs of a special needs child while providing them opportunities to learn and grow the same way I would with any other child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have sooo many favorite memories from babysitting and teaching kids. One of my absolute favorite memories is a student in my class singing a song about my car (since it was often parked along the playground fence.) It went, “Miss Lila’s red car! Miss Lila’s red carrr!”
Another fond memory was when I took my preschool class to the field and taught each of them about dirt, worms, and environments. This became an ongoing lesson every recess. I was ecstatic to have my students so excited and curious to learn.
