Hi! I'm 17 and the oldest sibling of six kids (current ages ranging from 7-15)! I actually have looked after children almost my whole life, but only recently started trying to earn money from it. I recently graduated high school and I took several classes regarding caring for children. I hope to go back to school eventually to pursue a career with childcare! For now, I feel most comfortable taking gigs to gain more experience.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I completed both child development 1 and 2 classes in high school. I then completed a early childhood education internship course. My job essentially was a teacher's aid. I would come in to a 3rd grade classroom for 3 hours each morning and assisted the teacher. My responsibilities varied from carrying lessons, helped students with assignments, did 1-on-1 and small group sessions with struggling students, etc.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy indoor activities the most, especially when it involves the imagination! I love drawing, dancing, building forts, playing all types of different games, and reading. With outdoors, I prefer activities that are fun and has great exercise to go with it.

The most important part for me is being a healthy and positive influence on kids.

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have much experience or any training with special needs children. In my internship class, I very regularly assisted one student with a severe learning disability.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My absolute favorite thing to do when I watch my younger siblings is creating silly dance videos! It gets kids moving, but also allows them to have fun and get creative with the dance choreography.
