Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts, drama and pretend play, organized games, reading books, learning about nature and animals, neighborhood walks and adventures.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Building relationships with children and families! I am truly a "people person"-- I love connecting with people, learning their goals and strengths, and encouraging everyone to be their best self!
My experience with special needs children...
Over my years of experience I have worked with many lovely children who have had Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other behavioral diagnoses. I have also worked with adults for the past 5 years, all of whom have had a disability, mental illness, and/or addiction. I believe in meeting everyone where they are, and caring for every person no matter what.
The most important part about being a nanny...
As a summer camp counselor, I would throw weekly dance parties for the children! It was always so much fun :)

My journey into childcare began at an early age, providing me with valuable insights about myself and shaping my professional outlook. I experienced a positive and unique upbringing that instilled in me the core values of care, empathy, understanding, and effective communication. These foundational principles continue to guide my approach to working with children and families, enabling me to foster nurturing and supportive environments.

I'm a 56yo grandfather and father of two boys. I miss going on the explorations and hikes. I can also help them knuckle down and do their homework and get to their chores. I can also be fun, but it's the old and obsolete stuff. Observation and detection games. Sometimes, scavenger hunts with the clues written in bad poetry. No one wants to be alive to hear of these things from elsewhere. The blue crew has nothing to do with Motley Crue, which is about the things that no one looked at anyway. Snoopy stuck defeating the Red Baron during WW2. His mind and the Dagobah System making Yoda just disappear. The working-class dog never shows up to work bigly.

Hi! I’m a former corporate marketing professional who is excited to spend more time doing work I truly enjoy: caring for kids and helping families. I have 8 years of experience as a camp counselor and have also cared for my niece since she was a baby. I love reading, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and encouraging kids’ learning and creativity without relying on screens. I’m also happy to help with light housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, organization, and pet care. I’m hoping to find a family I can support long-term and become a reliable part of their routine.

Hello Family,
My name is Silvia Seleny and as an early childhood educator, I bring genuine vocation, empathy, and a deep commitment to respectful parenting and children's holistic development. My goal is always to help each child reach their full potential across every stage of growth, from infancy to preschool.
Eighteen months ago, I moved to San Francisco, where I began volunteering at the SOMACC Center in Yerba Buena Gardens. There, I supported immigrant families and coordinated early stimulation activities for children from birth to five, creating experiences that fostered learning, connection, and healthy development.
I currently work part-time with two families, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. My responsibilities include planning and leading age-appropriate developmental activities, reading aloud, and organizing outings to parks, museums, and libraries. I support each child's cognitive, social, and emotional growth,
