Growing up i’ve had to care for multiple younger cousins around me, so taking care of kids has always been a second nature to me. Ive also had a couple of babysitting jobs for past teachers with a 16 month and 2 year old. In reference to older kids, I’ve acted as a volunteer tutor at my current K-12 high school for many middle schoolers. Through that i was able to make a connection and become something like a mentor to many of the kids I’ve provided tutoring for.

I love playing board games, starting puzzles could also be very good for older kids, it takes up lots of time while keeping their brain active and occupied.We could make up imaginary games, or find things to do outside especially since its summer time. Id imagine I could start of with slower activities then get really active so they can tire out an take a nice nap for an hour or two.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is making a connection with the kids and providing them with a built in friend. Its important to me that while im there to watch them, im also occupying them with fun and active things to do.
