I love keeping kids engaged in activities that don’t revolve around screens—like getting outside for fresh air, using their imagination in creative play, and doing hands-on activities like crafts or games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, the most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with both the kids and the parents so everyone feels comfortable. I also think good communication and consistency are a big part of that, and I always try to build a deeper connection with the kids and families I work with rather than it just being a “job” where the relationship ends when I leave.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was folding laundry and had one of the kids help me. At first they weren’t really interested, but I made it fun and turned it into a little game where we sorted everything together and tried to beat our “folding record.” Once they got into it, they started laughing, helping more, and even taking over parts of it on their own. By the end they were really proud of themselves and didn’t want to stop helping, which I thought was really sweet.
