More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve done a lot of volunteer work with children, working at summer camps. I spend a lot of time with my cousins who are my neighbors, they are 5 and 3. I feel as though I’ve gotten a lot of experience while sitting them because one of them has a learning disability called APRAXIA. This makes it hard for my cousin to speak, because the nerve and muscles in his tongue are not connected to the nerves in his brain. It’s heartbreaking, he can get very frustrated very easily. But you just have to remember to stay calm and show him that patience is key even for himself
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Walking, coloring, painting, reading, cooking, playing whatever imaginary game they like, being outside, playing games, working on school, making them laugh is probably my favorite though.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, of course the most important part of being a nanny is to keep your child(ren) safe. But adding onto that, I feel it is so important to to make sure your child feels comfortable, happy and valued while hanging out with me. I don’t want them to dread hanging out with their nanny. I want to make it fun, I want them to look forward to it!
My experience with special needs children...
My cousin has a learning disability called Apraxia. I’ve been babysitting him ever since he was a newborn. He’s five now. It can be challenging at times but the most important thing to remember is to remain patient and to listen to what they have to say.

I’ve been a nanny for over a decade. Before becoming a nanny I was a preschool teacher.
I’ve cared for a number of families during my career and I’m looking to find the next family that I can have a positive impact on. I truly believe I have the most wonderful job, even with the stinky diapers!
I love doing crafts, having dance parties, going on adventures and making up songs for. Children thrive on routine, I’m happy to work with parents on what will be best for the family as a whole or create a routine myself.
I believe in child led learning. I do my very best to make learning fun at an early age in order to create a lifetime love of education.
I also want to make sure the time each family has together is quality. I’m happy to help with some household chores in addition to the child’s or children’s laundry, bedding and dishes.
While I’m not the best cook, I’m also happy to help prep meals.. you’ll thank me for not cooking anything more than kid food or baby purée!

Hello!
I am 27 years old and I have nannied on and off since I was old enough. I absolutely love children. I hope to have some of my own soon, but until then I hope to keep helping families with their little ones! I love this job for so many reasons, mostly because I get to learn so much from wonderful parents and brilliant, vibrant children. I believe children can have wonderful experiences from having nannies in their lives, and being a part of that is beyond special.
