More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience mentoring and supporting students through my roles as an Outreach Assistant and Overnight Host at Kalamazoo College, where I regularly worked with prospective students and helped create welcoming, supportive environments. I have also volunteered as a tutor through Tutoring Chicago, where I worked directly with younger students to support their learning and confidence. In addition, I am CPR/BLS certified and am passionate about creating safe, caring, and positive spaces for children to grow and feel supported.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a mix of fun, creative, and educational activities with children. Some activities I enjoy include arts and crafts, reading stories, helping with homework, baking simple treats, playing board games, and doing science-related activities or experiments. I also enjoy outdoor activities like going to the park, playing sports, taking walks, and encouraging active play. I love creating a positive and engaging environment where kids can have fun, feel safe, and learn new things.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience tutoring students through Tutoring Chicago, including working with children who had different learning needs and attention styles, such as ADHD. Through this experience, I learned the importance of patience, encouragement, flexibility, and creating engaging learning environments that help students stay focused and feel supported.

Babysitter Available in Kalamazoo, MI: Kayla R.
I’m currently going into my senior year of college at western Michigan university where I will receive my bachelor’s degree of business administration. I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment. Every child has a unique personality, and it's rewarding to build connections with them and see their confidence and creativity develop. I find joy in creating engaging activities and making sure kids feel cared for and supported. I have experience working as a camp counselor, where I was responsible for supervising and engaging up to five children at a time, ranging from ages 2 to 14. In this role, I organized activities, ensured safety, and provided guidance tailored to each age group. I am CPR and First Aid certified, which means I am trained to handle emergency situations and provide immediate care if needed. I have strong skills in communication, patience, problem-solving, and multitasking.
