I cared for two sisters who were abused by their mother. She would lock them in their bedroom for several hours while she did drugs and hung out with men. The girls had to fend for themselves. They would eat junk food. We had to turn their bad habits around and it wasn't easy. The girls had PTSD from their trauma. They will be in therapy and on meds the rest of their lives.
