Hello, my name is Lindsey Hinthorne. I am a running start student and just graduated with my highschool diploma and AA degree in psychology. I will be studying at UW Seattle in the fall to later go on to earn my Ph.D. in clinical psychology and become a therapist. I have had years of experience working with kids as a older sister to my two younger siblings, working for 7 months in a preschool/nursery, babysitting every week for 5 years, and being a nanny last year to a baby when she was 5-13 months old. I have been working as a tutor at Pierce college since January, but I miss working with kids and would love to be able to work with your kids.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered as a childcare assistant from February 2023-March 2024 at Vine Maple Place, an organization that helps end and prevent homelessness. I worked for 7 months as childcare worker in a preschool/nursery. I worked as a nanny for a baby when she was 5-13 months old for up to 30 hours a week. I also babysit two kids every week for 5 years. I also help kids as a tutor at Pierce college, because a some of the students that come in are parents and bring their kids in with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love coming up with different types of crafts and art projects to do with kids (depending on their age group), playing outside with them, playing games, reading them books, singing songs with them, baking, cooking, telling them stories, and playing with toys and musical instruments with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most to me about being a nanny is being a loving, safe, positive, caring, kind, and nurturing person for each child. Listening to them, giving them activities and things to do so that they aren't bored and can play, learn, and grow.
