A little bit about me

I absolutely LOVE kids! I have worked with kids for the past five and 1/2 years. I am a full time college student at Texas Christian University and my goal is to be a nanny this summer. I am a speech pathology major specializing in children with Autism and Articulation issues. I also had an internship at a speech pathology clinic throughout high school which gave me the opportunity to look after children with a wide variety of disabilities. I am used to taking care of children with special needs. (especially autism). I worked at Sweet and Sassy, which is a party venue for little girls and I was the lead party coordinator. My job consisted of playing, singing, and dancing with girls for the duration of the party. Most of my experience is with younger children (3-6), and special needs children (3-8), but I am willing to take care of any child!

I have experience with children who have speech and hearing impairments. I have also worked with children who are autistic, have down syndrome, cerebral palsy, need help with feeding/swallowing (primarily for toddlers) and need the use of a wheelchair (manual or electric). I have gotten these opportunities through my job I had last summer at a speech pathology clinic.
