I have watched 4 of my grandkids from birth until at least 13 years old while my daughter worked and went to school. I had a set schedule for them which included helping with homework, making snacks and dinner. I'm very creative so we would do arts and crafts from time to time

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I like to ride my bike and to walk through the metro parks. I love to have them help me prep for meals. I'm very spontaneous when it comes to doing cools stuff, even doing karaoke and dancing

My experience with special needs children...

I have a autistic nephew who i am very close with. He is non verbal and very withdrawn. We have always had a special bond. I act silly for him and can almost always get a smile from him and sometimes even a laugh

The most important part about being a nanny...

One little boy's mom was having a really hard time potty training her 3 and a half year old. So I decided to give it a try. I am blessed to have a lot of patience. Within 2 weeks he was completely potty trained. I just used a lot of praise and made a big deal about it every time he used the potty. And possibly a treat from time to time. And he responded very well to the praise most of all. His mom was so grateful for me doing this.
