I am a retiring certified teacher who has taught school for nearly 20 years with children in grades K through 12. I have completed the coursework for an MA in English, and have Bachelor's degrees in English and Philosophy. Along with my experience in public schools, I have worked as a writer and editor for an online health and wellness promotional Web site. Reading and writing (K-College) are my particular strengths, but I can also provide tutoring in Math grades K-5. Having taught Exceptional Children for a significant part of my teaching career, I have a deep understanding of the unique needs of children with disabilities, including behavioral issues. I am friendly and outgoing and have always enjoyed working with young people. My personal interests include whitewater kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
