A little bit about me

My name is Lissa and I am an enthusiastic, experienced, and well-rounded childcare professional. I have been working with children for the past 7 years. When I was an adolescent I was a local babysitter, working with families of children ages 2-12. After a few years, I began working for a theater company in California as a teaching artist. I worked with all ages of children towards putting on small productions and building social skills through the arts. 5 years ago, I started my self-employed business teaching piano, voice, and guitar. Through this line of work, I was contracted at two academies where I taught private lessons along with managing and substituting group classes for infants through adults. Since moving to Bellingham in 2019, I have worked for a few Bellingham families with infants and toddlers. Currently, I am the Infant Teacher at the YMCA Early Learning Program on State Street where I care for small infants through 13-month-olds.
