I first started working with Children at one the YMCA afterschool programs where I volunteered to help a group of about 10 children ages 4-9 with their homework.
I later on, after about a year, moved on to the YMCA daycare program, caring for a group of 5 toddlers ages 1-3.
Most recently I worked in a family daycare with a group of 5 infants ages 3 months - 12 months.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a very fun, outgoing and active female, besides going to the park for a good old game of catch, I love having story time, singing and dancing, as well as learning activities such as puzzles. Nothing better where a kid can Express themselves with arts and crafts!

My experience with special needs children...
During the last year I was working part time with a family of 4 children, 2 of which had special needs. One of them had a learning disability, needing all the extra help he could get to complete homework and studying. The second one had a severe level disability where being 16 years old he required the care of an 3 year old.
This taught me that special needs children are the most loving human beings there are in this world. They need to be catered to with tender care, love, lots of attention and patience.
